Konnichiwa! At this year’s NEMBC Conference I am representing Radio 4EB 98.1FM, Brisbane and my program there Japanwave. Japanwave is a hour-long program offered twice a week for the Japanese community based in Queensland and beyond. Naturally, the program is delivered in Japanese – but if you do choose to tune in, I can assure you our broadcasters have excellent taste in classic and the latests beats so come and listen into some J-Pop on a Wednesday morning or Friday evening!
On a more personal level, I am a final year Journalism/Political Science student at the University of Queensland. Born in metropolis Tokyo, studying in Brisbane alongside the opportunity to sit in front of a microphone every week has been life-changing. If you aren’t actively involved with volunteering with your local community radio station, I strongly urge you to do so!
